Simple Splendor

Flickr doesn't want to post my pictures today. It's making me rather unhappy.

I just got home from coffee with Richard (pictured above, unshaven and rather heathenish). I'm not to sure what I'd do right now if I didn't have him to talk to. It's nothing crazy or dramatic or life altering. It's just that no one else seems to "get it" quite like he does, and it's refreshing to get his take on things.

But he had to go to his girlfriend's prom, and I have to go to dinner with Marko. Why? Because I am dying to hear about his "best.date.ever."

It was a good weekend. I went out for breakfast with Marko, went to the multicultural festival, saw one of my favorite local bands jam, and delivered pizza with Nathan. Well, I sat in the van while he delivered pizza.

But the highlight would have to be going to Steve's place Saturday night. Tyler was there, which at first was no big deal seeing as he and I had been reduce to awkward small talk since the end of August - which is how things started off. But then I asked him a few questions about his mission trip (he leaves July 17th for San Jose, California) and we ended up having an hour long discussion about religion, our beliefs and... all sorts of things!

By the end of the night, it felt like we were back to where we were last summer, which is such a good thing. It's just a shame that it had to be this close to him leaving.

Anyway, I dragged Matt to the fabric store today. He hated every moment of it. Except for this moment.

My brother talks music

"Did you hear what Tom Delonge was saying about Angels and Airwaves? He thinks he can accomplish more with them than he could with Blink 182. Yeah, not with a lame looking drummer he wont! At least people respected Travis. He could lay down a bad ass beat ... 'But now we're running through a field and flying through space!' ... Let's all listen to their repetitive guitar riffs!"

Podcast potential, anyone?

P.S. I'm baaaack!
